Le Meridien Barcelona

We booked 10 rooms for 20 family members, and the hotel made a long travel day much easier. We had estimated arrival at 2:00 p.m. but got there at 12:30. I expected to leave our bags at the Bell desk and head out, but the front desk had six rooms ready and got the other four ready within minutes. They checked all 10 of us in effortlessly in about 20 minutes, nearly four hours before check-in. Monica in guest relations had contacted me the week before to collect the names for each room and ask our arrival time. The general manager came by to introduce himself and gave us a handwritten welcome note from the team, along with a welcome beverage for everyone. There was another handwritten note and some champagne waiting in our room. The staff went way out of their way to make us feel special and let us rest after a very long flight. I often travel with 20 people, and most places barely react; this level of customer service is rare now. It’s a beautiful hotel in the prime La Rambla area of Barcelona, with lovely rooms and a nice restaurant. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

The beds were so comfortable that I fell asleep quickly, and the receptionists were young and fun to chat with. Being right in La Rambla was a real highlight, with everything nearby, especially Passeig de Gràcia. The hotel was a pillar of a marvelous Barcelona trip. My stay was amazing, truly perfect.

I stayed here in May 2025 and loved being right in the heart of the city. Breakfast was good quality, and the service was good too. The rooms felt relatively small for a luxury facility, and the gym was missing a lot of equipment and machines. Aside from that, I’d recommend Le Meridien for a short tourist stay.

Communication was clear, proactive, and very well organised from our first interaction. The hotel also worked well for a corporate group, balancing comfort, elegance, and practical needs, with a location that suited both work and downtime. The food was excellent throughout, always high quality and thoughtfully prepared. What stood out most was the staff. They were attentive and professional, and seemed personally invested in making the trip go well. You could see their care and experience from planning through execution.
