The room itself was roomy and comfortable, with an oven, fridge, pots and pans, a capsule coffee machine and a kettle. The bed and visco pillows were comfortable too. I just couldn’t find glasses, forks or spoons, so I ended up buying paper cups at the market. A few glasses or wine glasses would have raised my rating to 9 out of 10. As it stands, I’d give it an 8. The location felt very central and safe, though the window seemed to look onto an apartment air shaft. Check-in and check-out were easy. I arrived around 3:00 PM while a housekeeper was still inside, so I waited a little, but she finished cleaning and left quickly. The room was clean enough. The bathroom was clean as well, although narrower than I expected, and the sink was quite small.

The location was good, but several things in the apartment need attention. The balcony door was broken and wouldn’t lock, which made us feel a bit unsafe. The table and chairs were damaged, and the double bed and mattress were worn out enough that they should be replaced. The bathroom was very small and had a noticeable unpleasant smell. With some maintenance, the place could be much more enjoyable.

The area was really nice, with cool shops nearby, and we could walk to all the main places we wanted to see. The apartment was spacious, with a kitchen and living room, and the mattress was very comfortable. We had an amazing stay and I’d definitely come back to this place in barcelona. My pass key didn’t work when I arrived, so I had to call the agent for a code just to get into the building. I spent the rest of my trip needing to call to get in. Then I reached my assigned room and found a sex party happening inside. A group of naked men ran to the door, so I stepped back out and called the agent again to ask if another room was available. They gave me a new room number, but that key didn’t work either. I called for a third time before they updated my pass keys. I asked if I’d get any compensation for all the hassle and was told, “NO I dont think so.” The room itself wasn’t great: stains and marks, a burn hole in the sofa, cigarette ash by the door in the Court yard, and cigarettes on the Court yard floor. The bathroom door lock was broken too. A real shame, since the booking pictures made it look like a great stay.
