The old building is beautiful, and the room was simple, quiet, clean, and felt safe. The location was excellent. We appreciated the free coffee on the rooftop terrace, and the young man at reception was cheerful and full of useful information. The only thing I noticed was that the shower door didn’t keep all the water off the floor.

The location made a big difference for us. Each morning we looked out toward the rambla, El Fornet Cafe, and Mar I Terra restaurant. There are plenty of shops along the block, and it took about a 30-minute walk to Plaza de Catalunya, where we caught the Barcelona Bus Tour. Diagonal Metro station is close and gets you to Sagrada Familia easily. We also felt comfortable on the street, with delis, pharmacies, and Sephora nearby. Late at night the large doors are shut, leaving a small entrance open, which gave me peace of mind as a woman traveling with another woman. My grandma and I were there from 5/19/26 to 5/26/2026 for a Bad Bunny Concert and to explore Barcelona together. This was our only chance to travel to Europe before she passes away, and she loved the stay as much as I did. I was worried by the negative reviews beforehand, but I’m glad I went anyway. The staff at Mosaic Ona Hotel were kind, handled our questions and concerns well, and made conversation. On the morning after our first night, the elevator broke. I saw Andrea help guests carry their luggage down one flight of stairs from the service elevator so they could get into their taxi. By the afternoon, it was working again. Lydia removed a tag from my shoes before the concert, and Alberto pointed me to a supermarket where I could buy yogurt for my grandma. We booked a Terrace Room. It felt medium to small, but as a New Yorker I know how to make a smaller room work. It was spotless, with a very comfortable bed, clean sheets, and wonderful air conditioning. We liked sitting on the terrace for fresh air in the morning, and it opened up the space. It faces a construction site right now, but that didn’t bother us. We didn’t see the neighbors either. The shower leaked a little, but we managed with towels, keeping the door shut tightly and waiting for the water to drain before opening it. We tucked our luggage under the bed to leave room to move around, and used the safe for valuables. We didn’t use breakfast or room service. There’s an El Fornet coffee shop downstairs, along with so many shops and restaurants, that we didn’t need to. Housekeeping did a great job, made the bed, and left fresh towels every day. They brought extra ones after water got out of the shower. If room size matters to you, don’t book a twin and expect it to be huge. Save yourself the hassle and get a suite, terrace, or balcony. When I return, I’ll book the Suite or The Terrace again. Thank you, Mosaic, for giving me and my Abuelita a lovely stay. She says, "5 Stars," and I agree.

It’s easy to get around from this hotel, which is right in the center of Barcelona. We walked to just about everything, and Arc De Triumf transit station was only a 5-7 minute walk away. The rooms are compact, so they might feel a bit too intimate for some families, but for a couple ours was just right. We had a balcony with outdoor access, and even on a busy street we couldn’t hear the noise through the soundproof doors. The room was comfortable, and the staff were all extremely helpful.

My partner and I spent a week here, and it was what we’d hoped for, from the views to the location. For the price, it had everything we needed and more. The staff were kind and accommodating when our travel was delayed. Jordi deserves a special mention for always being friendly and helpful when we came back late. Staff recommendations for food led us to some of the best meals of our trip, so we’d definitely take their advice again.

We had a very clean suite with a lovely terrace. The hotel is right in the city center, but it was still quiet. Everyone on staff was lovely, and David was especially helpful throughout our stay.
