We chose the room with a terrace specifically so we could spend mornings there, but drilling from construction next door started at 9:00 every day throughout our stay at Numa. The wall being drilled was directly beside ours. It got so loud we couldn't work, attend our planned meetings, talk to each other, or even hear our own voices over coffee on the terrace. Dust also made it impossible to hang clothes outside. When we contacted NUMA, they said the noise wasn't coming from them and left it at that. They offered no solution, compensation to let us move elsewhere, room change, or other suggestion. In the last two days I spoke with the neighbors myself and managed to get the problem addressed. They said the noisiest part was over, so it wouldn't be as loud, and moved to another part of the house so we could work. NUMA now knows there will be construction for a month. The room has some drawbacks, but they won't ruin your Barcelona stay. The cleaning team was good and cooperative, and the location is good. Still, NUMA showed no empathy or ability to solve the problem, and seemed focused on money. I've traveled for 20 years and never experienced anything like this. I'm writing this to warn future guests.
