Ohla Barcelona

We even caught a free synchronized swimming show at the rooftop bar on check-in day, while having a great cocktail and meeting new friends. The whole stay felt seamless, with thoughtful touches and a team that seemed a step ahead from check-in to check-out. Everyone was smiling, incredibly friendly, and able to help us in English. This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Loved it!

The front desk team were lovely, especially the funny, energetic gentleman with gray curly hair who made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. The other staff were warm and attentive too. I also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs, whether for a quick morning coffee or a proper meal. Hotel Ohla Barcelona is beautifully kept, with a polished, clean feel throughout. My room was spotless and comfortable, with everything I needed. Being right in the heart of the city made it easy to walk to all the sights. I couldn't have asked for a better base for exploring Barcelona. Highly recommend!

My wife and I paid extra for the final part of our Spain trip, and this was a very disappointing stay. It doesn't feel like a 5-star hotel, and the staff didn't seem to care about the several problems in our room. The shower overflowed twice and flooded the floor. The first time, we called the front desk; they unclogged it and replaced our towels, then put frosted stickers on the glass. The shower was see-through and in the middle of the room, which surprised us, though we didn't mind. The AC was fixed after it failed, but stopped working again a day later. Our safe then malfunctioned, and staff couldn't open it for 24 hours. My wife had no purse and we had no passports during that time. We saw champagne and chocolates at the front desk when we arrived but were never offered any. Staff knew about the problems, but the only other thing they did was send housekeepers with two bite-sized chocolates. The bright spots were the rooftop, with its nice view, and Selina, our amazing waitress at La Plassohla. Don't be fooled by the 5-star rating. Every 3- or 4-star hotel we've stayed at was much nicer and more accommodating.

My husband and I stayed here last June for our honeymoon, and it was just the best. The location couldn't be better, the staff were all so friendly, and the rooftop was stunning. They went above and beyond to make the stay memorable.
