The room was filthy and old, with beard hairs even left on the sink. It looked as though more than one guest had used it without it being cleaned. These rooms are appalling to offer. They clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. If I could, I'd give zero stars.

The location was the one good thing. Everything else felt like a nightmare. My girlfriend was scared to go to the bathroom because the creepy old owner would be eating in the hallway whenever she went by, and he stayed up at night. We called it Dani's 1001 nightmares, since it felt like being in a haunted house the whole time. The entrance was a mess. A huge cockroach greeted us on the stairs, though luckily we found it dead the next morning. Some steps were slippery, and there was graffiti everywhere. The photos didn't match the place at all, though at least our room had windows. They charged us an unexpected “tourist fee” of 18€ after we arrived. Staff were rude and unprofessional. When we asked for fresh towels or bedsheets, they refused and accused us of trying to steal their stupid towels. One of the many shabby things we found was a blanket with burn marks. The restrooms were somewhat clean, at least on the surface. My partner and I thought we'd found an affordable place, but at what cost? We wouldn't recommend it.

The location was amazing, and I didn't hear the noise mentioned in some other reviews. The room was okay and clean, with a private but very small bathroom and a fan, which was essential at that time of year. The window looked onto dark inner walls, though, and no air reached the room, so the fan just pushed warm air around. Some nights were unbearable. If we hadn't paid on arrival, I probably would have moved for the comfort and a good night's sleep. The advertised picture didn't represent the room. There were about four flights of stairs to the hostel, with no lift and no sign to let us know, so we were confused. The stairway was very dark and unwelcoming, with a dead cockroach and a bad smell. Someone greeted us, had us fill out a few forms and pay, then showed us the room. Staff cleaned our towel once, made the bed every day, and emptied the bin once, although we'd been told that would happen daily. They only gave us a fan on the last night. If you're after somewhere really cheap, this is okay, but honestly I'd spend a bit more elsewhere.

It's an affordable place right in the city center, and it met what I expected. The rooms are spacious, the toilets and shower were very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want luxury, this isn't the place. I think some negative reviews are misplaced since it's not advertised as a 3-star hotel.

The area is excellent, and the staff were pleasant, always greeting us. There was staff on site 24 hours, and they did their best to keep the place clean, though it was very dingy. If you just need a bed and shower for a night or two and aren't picky, it may suit you. The photos online don't match the rooms, though, so the first impression can be a shock. If you want somewhere pleasant, I'd look elsewhere. The stairwell smelled strongly of urine, had graffiti all over the walls, and there was poop on the steps when we arrived. In the room, there was only a bottom sheet, a top sheet, and one blanket in the cupboard. It was too hot for more than a sheet anyway, but there was no mattress protector. Staff came in each morning to straighten the sheets. We only got a fan on our last night, but I appreciated the thought. I woke up with a few itchy bites, not many.
