Porxos Garden

The roof garden was a lovely spot, and breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. The whole place is beautifully decorated, and the rooms feel cosy and comfortable. Best of all is Sandra, a friendly, passionate owner who clearly knows what hospitality means. She runs the hotel with so much care.

Sandra and the staff were warm and helpful, and they carried our bags up and down without hesitation since there’s no elevator. The location is very convenient, kitty corner from a stop on the Hop On Hop Off bus routes. The heritage building, where Picasso once lived, has been beautifully restored, with wonderful decor and furnishings. Breakfast had a huge spread of fresh, delicious food. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had, and I’d stay again in a minute.

The rooftop garden felt private and peaceful, with relaxing surroundings and fabulous views of Barcelona. There’s no elevator, but I didn’t mind the stairs and appreciated the exercise. We loved the quaint, comfortable rooms and the welcoming staff, who were kind and helpful and always had a smile or a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast was stellar, with lots of delicious options. The location made it easy to walk to the museums, restaurants, and activities we had planned. We’d absolutely stay again and happily recommend this place.

We had a small, cosy room, and the whole place smelled really clean and nice. The view from our window was disappointing, though, since it faced the neighbouring building, which looked abandoned. Breakfast was good and had a great variety. The location is wonderful, near the Gothic Quarter and several public transport options. It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the docks. There’s no elevator, and the staircase is quite tight. Communication was difficult at check-in because the staff member didn’t speak very good English.
