Hotel Rec Barcelona - Adults only

Our room was compact but cleverly designed, modern and stylish, with a lovely sheltered balcony. The bed was comfortable, and the WiFi worked excellently throughout. We were in Room 103 on the first floor. The hotel was quiet and right next to Arc de Triomf, a great base for exploring Barcelona. The small rooftop pool is more for a quick plunge than a proper swim, but the rooftop is still a nice place to relax, and there's a bar upstairs too. Staff were incredibly friendly and let us check in very early after our journey, which we really appreciated. Check-in itself was quick and easy. At checkout they let us store our bags securely before our flight. We really enjoyed our two nights at the REC Hotel and would definitely stay again.

We don't know why, but we were given a free bottle of Champaign. Thanks to everyone who helped make our stay so amazing. The rooftop restaurant and bar were the highlight, with incredible views that are a must-see. Our room was spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and it had all the amenities we could need. The location was perfect for exploring, and from the moment we arrived the staff were genuinely fantastic and made us feel at home. Absolutely fantastic stay!

The roof terrace was a highlight for breakfast, with the city's eclectic skyline and Swifts flying around. The rooms were bright, clean, practical and really soundproof, with no banging doors. From booking through checkout, the staff were focused on guests and nothing felt like too much trouble. The REC is a fabulous place, ideally positioned at the edge of the old town, a stone's throw from the Arc du Triompf. We'll be back. Thank you.

The rooftop lounge and deck were great, especially for breakfast with a view. Mark, Hugo and Carla deserve an extra shout-out for hosting fun cocktail-making and wine-tasting sessions, a nice way to unwind, meet other guests and learn about local wine varieties or make an espresso martini. The location beside the Arc de Triomf suited me well, with El Born, the Gothic Quarter, Parc de la Ciutadella, Barceloneta and the subway close by. It's also a short walk to the edge of Gracia and Eixample. The room and hotel facilities were great, and everyone I met was lovely and helpful, from the day and night front desk staff to the breakfast, lounge, housekeeping and maintenance teams. The whole experience at Hotel REC was enjoyable and well run. I'd love to come back.
