It was clean, the beds were good, and my room was quiet. My friend did get woken by noise through the walls a few times. The shower head was crooked and kept hitting the window, though the hot water was good. Cleaning staff often hold up the elevator, so use the stairs. The apartment was close to a metro exit, and getting in with the card was easy. It didn’t quite match the pictures, and it lacked a lot of basics: a spatula for eggs, a cutting board, a dishcloth, enough glasses and cups. They were stingy with toilet paper, washing liquid, and dishwasher tablets. For two people over six days, we got one of each, only two toilet rolls, and not enough rubbish bags. There was no information about recycling. An adapter plug would also be useful in this kind of place, though I know that isn’t standard. The area was okay and felt safe, but other parts of Spain seemed to have more restaurants and a better vibe. Massage places and other things to do were a bit far away, and the metro takes time to figure out.

The woman I spoke with was very friendly, which is why I gave two stars instead of one. The photos look fresh and clean, but the actual room was dark, grimy, and old. I know hotels often advertise with their best pictures, but I’d still expect something closer to the standard I paid for. If you’re only there for a weekend stag do, maybe it’s okay. Otherwise, I’d strongly avoid it. Don’t be fooled by the photos.

The place we were given was nothing like the pictures we’d been shown. To make it worse, it was dirty and reeked of smoke.

Check-in was easy, and the apartment was very clean and comfortable. It’s not too far from the city center.
