Rua Suites

Our belongings went missing from the storage room. When we returned after 10 days for one night, our luggage had been moved to another corner without anyone telling us, and a bag of souvenirs worth €100 was gone. I still haven't had a proper explanation, and the receptionist also didn't speak English. Communication was a struggle because barely any staff spoke English. They kept sending our problems to a manager who wasn't on site, and it felt like nothing got addressed. There was also confusion about the water filter: one receptionist directed me to refill water in the common room, then another told me off the next day for using it because I was staying one level below. We left early one morning to travel elsewhere in Europe, but despite the stated 24/7 reception, nobody was there. We waited five minutes in a hurry and then left the keys on the table. When we came back a week later for one night and explained, staff still refused to return our €40 key deposit, saying it was our mistake. This was my worst hotel or hostel experience, and I highly don't recommend it.

The room was in rough shape, and the bed was dirty and really uncomfortable. We stayed a long time, but they still didn't change the towels, and the bathrooms weren't clean either. At checkout we asked to leave our luggage, and they wanted 5 euros for it. The receptionist was drunk. Not recommended, stay away.

We traveled to Barcelona and two days later they canceled our reservation, even though it had already been paid for. They gave no credible reason, and more than a month later the money still hasn't been returned. No advice or help at all. It doesn't deserve even one star!

We booked through Airbnb, but it seems they use their office as the listing location and then try to send guests to places in distant neighborhoods when they arrive to check in. The two men running the place were rude. It felt like a scam.
