They still haven’t returned nearly 1.5k euro of our deposit, even though it was due two months ago and we returned the apartment in excellent condition. They haven’t explained the delay or replied to us. When we moved in, the apartment looked very worn. It smelled of smoke everywhere, and the kitchen chairs, table, and freezer were broken. We were renting a long-term apartment. Terrible management and service. No more comments.

The flat was clean enough, but the booking came with bizarre requirements for something we booked on Airbnb. We were asked to sign random contracts naming someone who lives in Madrid as the landlord. They also didn’t answer us when we landed, despite knowing our arrival date, so we spent the first night in a hotel. This business feels like an example of what’s wrong with Barcelona’s housing market: perhaps some rich woman living in Madrid has bought these buildings and rents them out short-term through Airbnb. The setup feels far too professional, and I think Airbnb should ban them from the platform.

We paid £5832 to stay in this apartment from 27th August to 17th December. My girlfriend has mental health issues and had an episode. They called the police and put us out on the street. Now she has harmed herself. They also took the payment for the final month a month early. They told the police there had been domestic violence, but my girlfriend and I both said nothing like that had happened. I believe this company took our money and threw us out. Please read the earlier reviews. I wish I had. This is disgusting and illegal behavior, and we’ve contacted solicitors and Airbnb. This needs to stop before someone else with mental health problems gets badly hurt.

My flight was canceled three days beforehand, through no fault of my own, but they showed us no understanding and kept all the money. I’m a student and need every euro. Terrible service. Don’t go there, robbers.
