Studios Or Private Rooms

We had to stay somewhere else and spend twice what we should have because we couldn’t get hold of the owner or find the place. I called three times, tried WhatsApp and sent a message through Booking, but got no reply. He’d messaged me through Booking, so I hadn’t seen it, and then he wanted me to pay a fee. The location was chaotic and we couldn’t even find the apartment. We’d been awake for over 30 hours and badly wanted to check in early just to put our stuff away. We were calling during checkout hours, so they definitely weren’t asleep. I’d give one star, but I’m being fair.

The rooms are tiny, and mine didn’t have a window, but everything was extremely clean. My room had some decoration, a comfortable bed, a big TV and good AC. For the price, the place was okay. The house was very quiet, and the metro station right next to it made getting around easy. The neighborhood is working-class, with lots of different cultures and ethnicities. It’s far from touristy, but I never felt unsafe. Communication with the host was terrible. He ignored my calls and only replied at the last minute before check-in, with short answers that came across as rude. At first I honestly thought it might be a scam. It could’ve been a much better stay with clearer communication. I probably won’t return and would rather pay a bit more to be closer to downtown.

There were cockroaches everywhere. I’m allergic to them, and after we saw one I sent the owner a photo of how puffy my face had become. The maintenance guy came to spray, but afterwards we saw four more. The owner was very arrogant when I tried to contact him. Don’t ever go, especially if you have allergic reactions.

It was impossible to rest here because the place was noisy and far from everything. Getting back at night felt very unsafe and took forever. Avoid!
