Terrassa

I really enjoyed my three nights here. The private room and its own restroom were super clean, though a bit small, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is great, close to Liceu metro station. Thin walls were the only downside, but that's normal for Spain. If that bothers you, go to a different country.

I'm writing this on my third night because the noise kept me awake. The place is clean, but that hasn't made up for the rest of what has been a week-long nightmare. The walls might as well not be there. The first two nights, a couple had loud sex and the woman kept moaning. It sounded like she was in bed with me instead of the guy. Tonight another couple have been talking loudly for at least two hours, with no sign of stopping. All of this is happening at 1am. They require you to leave your key at reception whenever you go out, but there's a notice in the room saying they're not responsible for theft. Why, if you're holding our keys? For three days they provide just two tiny sachets of shower gel, one per person. We bought a big bottle at the supermarket because we wanted to shower every night. You have to ask for a hair dryer whenever you wash your hair and return it afterward. It's so old and weak I could barely feel any heat on my scalp, and half my hair stayed wet. They give you one large towel only, so if you wash your body and hair, you'll have to choose which one to dry. The water from the sink is always really cold.

The area is calm and quiet, and having breakfast available on site made the stay even more comfortable. La Terassa was spotless throughout, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Getting fresh towels every day was a lovely touch. It was all a plus, and I'd highly recommend it.

There aren't any big luxuries, but the location is convenient enough to make up for that. The staff were sweet and attentive, the room was clean, and they serve a lovely breakfast in the morning for 8 euros.
