The Boulevard by Aspasios

A quiet, secure, clean, and comfortable room made for a really relaxing stay. I'd recommend it if you want to be centrally placed near Barcelona's main sights.

Gemma was the standout for us. She was friendly, helpful, and professional, with great attention to detail and real dedication to guests. Her service made the experience memorable. The property is clean, fresh, and well maintained, and its location is outstanding, in one of the city's most luxurious areas with transport options available around the clock. But despite being called a hotel, it feels more like a small serviced apartment building with cleaning only. There are just nine rooms and few hotel facilities or amenities. Guest support is another concern. There’s no 24/7 reception or staff on site. When the fire alarm went off unexpectedly at 4:00 a.m., everyone had to go outside and the situation was handled over a WhatsApp video call with an emergency contact. That wasn't ideal. The heritage building also houses restaurants, spas, and offices, so outside noise carries through the day and evening. The windows are single-layer acrylic and the doors aren't soundproof, which means corridor conversations and footsteps come through clearly. There’s no mini fridge in the room either, which can be inconvenient for keeping water, snacks, or medication overnight. It’s a beautiful, clean, convenient place to stay, and Gemma's exceptional service was a real highlight. Better soundproofing, more facilities, and round-the-clock guest support would make it much better.

Gemma made us feel like valued friends. She greeted us warmly, handled everything professionally, shared helpful local insights, and went above and beyond to make our arrival and stay seamless. The Boulevard by Aspasios could hardly be better placed, right on La Rambla and steps from the Gothic Quarter, Boqueria Market, cafés, shops, and cultural spots. Even with all that city energy outside, the apartment itself felt calm, modern, and well designed. An exceptional stay.
