I met some great people in the relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and everything was clean and looked after. Daniela was especially kind and always had useful tips and recommendations for the city. You can tell the team really cares about guests and puts heart into the work. My stay at Mediterranean Hostel was amazing, and I’ll definitely return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona! 🌞🇪🇸

The rooms and bathrooms were covered in black mold. The staff were rude and unhelpful, refused to refund us, and tried to move us to a hostel an hour farther from the city. When we asked to cancel and get our money back, staff spoke Spanish to each other and made fun of us, apparently thinking we couldn’t understand. Avoid booking here.

The free coffee was nice, and the breakfast area and lobby felt cozy. I’d give five stars if the lockers and doors weren’t so noisy, and if the parquet floors weren’t in need of repairs in places. I’d replace the flooring on the second floor especially with something more sustainable, to save money and make cleaning easier. I don’t know how the men’s bathrooms get disgusting so quickly; I guess it’s the guests, not the cleaners. The Wi-Fi didn’t work well in room 209, which is the main reason I changed to a better hostel. Muchas gracias. Hasta luego.

I love this hostel, which is why I’ve been back since September. Daniela always helps me meet people, and we have a great time with everyone at the hostel or going out together on her pub crawl. Recommended!
