Once we were settled, it was lovely stepping straight outside into the center of Begur, with all its shops and restaurants. The hotel is charming, and our room for three was enormous, even though there were only two of us. Finding the place was the hard part. Our navigation took us up a steep, crazy hill and left us about 10 minutes from the right spot. Cars can’t use the streets leading to the hotel, so we rearranged our bags to avoid dragging the big suitcases and parked in the free lot at the bottom of the hill. The women at check-in were lovely, and said parking is harder to find in summer.

February was wonderfully quiet in Begur, though I imagine it gets very busy in summer. El Petit Convent is a lovely place with very spacious views in the tranquil village. We only stayed one night after driving around the Costa Brava, and I wish we’d made it two so we could visit more of the pristine beaches just a few kilometers from El Petit Convent.

The hotel was spotless and beautiful, and they did a great job setting up rooms for our family of four. The staff were so friendly and accommodating with the kids. They had plenty of room to run around in the lounge. A really good experience.

Begur is a small town, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars for its size. This hotel makes a great base for exploring the area, with a free car park about 200-300 meters away. It’s very relaxing, just three minutes from the town center, and the modern rooms have comfortable beds and nice bedding. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There are a couple of sitting areas too, which are nice if you’re spending time around the hotel. I’d gladly stay again or recommend it.

Set right in the old part of Begur, this lovely little hotel was a perfect base for a Costa Brava holiday. The rooms were great and very comfortable, especially the beds, and the bathrooms were modern. Breakfast was excellent, particularly for the low price. Service was attentive, the internet worked well, and it was quiet around the hotel.
