Apartamentos Puerto Marina

The rooms are a good size and well kept. The location is great, close to the marina and bus routes. The air-con couldn’t be adjusted, so it was very cool, though most of the time that was welcome. Wi-fi was poor in the rooms nearest the main street, affecting both internet and TV signal. Even so, we’ve booked to come back next year.

I couldn’t travel to Spain after a family member had a cardiac arrest the day before our flight. I understand they wouldn’t refund the room at such short notice, since I didn’t use it, but they also refused to provide an insurance letter so I could make a travel insurance claim. I emailed repeatedly asking for confirmation that I never checked in, which should be simple to provide, and got no reply. Whenever I called, I was promised a callback. The staff and owners were shocking, and the service was ridiculously unhelpful. This could have happened to anyone. Edit: Apartamentos MS seems to respond to Google reviews but not emails or phone calls, so I’m editing this in an attempt to get a useful answer. Please reply by email. I’ve never heard of Sidetours, and they weren’t who we booked through. Please stop sending me elsewhere to reduce your responsibility. As the hotel operator, you’re the only ones who can provide insurance documentation confirming that my family member and I never checked in. That should be straightforward. Your point about data protection makes no sense. You’ve acknowledged you can’t issue documents when no check-in took place, which is all the information I need, but say you can’t put that in a private email, which is all I’ve asked for. Yet you’ve admitted it publicly? I also contacted Sidetours and heard nothing, as expected, since they won’t know who I am or that I booked to stay at your apartment. Absolutely shocking, lazy service. Do your job.

The balcony has a really lovely view. The staff are lovely too, and it’s very convenient for shops, bars, and the beach.

The location is superb, just off the Main Street with its cafes, bars, and restaurants, and a stone’s throw from the marina. Staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized balcony. We faced the street, though, and it was noisy into the early hours, so bear that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. The pool area was tidy and clean, with loungers costing 2 euros. The pads on them looked grimy and past their best. Cleaning in the room was the main letdown. We got fresh towels once and new sheets once, and I didn’t notice any cleaning during our stay. At one point I had to ask reception for toilet rolls. We cleaned the bathroom ourselves and swept the floor more than once. Great location, but the cleaning routine let the hotel down.
