The staff were very good, and our room was clean, with a bathtub and a lovely view out the window. We stayed for two nights after skiing, choosing this hotel for its spa and restaurant. You need a shower cap to use the spa, and you can get one there for 4 euros. Swimsuits are available to rent too. Breakfast was free. We liked it so much that we hope to return every year.

The bar's circular layout was really cool, and beer came with free snacks. Staff were very friendly, though their English was quite broken at times and that led to misunderstandings. Outside the rooms, much of the hotel's furniture felt dated, but we found that added to its charm. Our room had been freshly renovated and was very well laid out, with a separate, enclosed bathroom, which you don't always find these days. Breakfast was OK. They really need to provide umbrellas, since mountain weather can change unpredictably. We couldn't bring our own on the flight via Barcelona, so ended up buying two in Benasque for €40.

My son wasn't staying at the hotel, but after he had an accident in the mountains, the ambulance crew took his backpack to Sommos Hotel. When I called about it, the reception staff were so friendly and helped me print and attach the UPS label. They went out of their way to keep the bag safe until it could be collected. I'm very grateful for their help, especially since he wasn't a guest. It says a lot about the people at SOMMOS.

Breakfast came with the room, with meats, cheeses, bread, and other breakfast foods to choose from. They also offered fried eggs or something from the kitchen for free. Dinner was available for about 16 euros, a bit expensive. The building feels open and welcoming, and it's well lit. There's a gym, spa, and pool, though access costs a small fee. My room had two twin beds pushed together, a refrigerator, and a flat screen television. The bath and shower were new and clean, but I missed having an iron, as I was used to at American hotels. I was in Benasque for a scientific conference, visiting from the US, and found the hotel very comfortable, with high-quality accommodations, food, and decor. It's just off the main road. I highly recommend it, and based on this stay, I'd recommend the other nearby hotels under the same management too.
