A lovely, peaceful and comfortable place to stay with kids, in a great location for a reasonable price. The heated pool is a real plus in any season.

Peniscola is magic, and giving this place less than five stars would be unfair. It’s clean, the beds are good, the air conditioning works really well, and there’s a supermarket next door. The beach is close without being too close. Parking is good, and the caretakers are very nice.

We’ve been very happy with our stay, and the property is pleasant and clearly well cared for. The apartments are clean, the renovations show, the pool is maintained, and the whole complex feels tidy and welcoming. It’s obvious a lot of effort goes into that. One issue has taken away from the experience. We have no problem with guests bringing dogs, but dogs are often walked through the front garden area, right by our terrace. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, relax on the grass with our family, and the dogs often pee on the tree just in front of us. Sometimes they defecate nearby, even on the grass where families sit and children play. We end up seeing it while eating or spending time outside, which is unpleasant. Could guests with dogs be asked, when possible, to use the rear paths to reach their apartments instead of the front garden? That could help keep the area by the terraces cleaner and more pleasant for everyone using it throughout the day. I hope this comes across as constructive feedback. We really appreciate the quality of the property and the work that goes into maintaining it. Addressing this could make a good stay even better for all guests. Thank you for considering it.

I brought my own toilet paper, dish soap, bathroom cleaner, and bin bags, though I could have picked them up at the supermarket across the road. Guillem was lovely, and even gave me a wooden bed for my Yorkshire Terrier. The apartment was clean and had everything I needed, from towels, sheets, blankets and bedspreads to a bath mat, chairs, a table, a clothesline, a TV, a hairdryer, and a fridge. There’s free Wi-Fi, parking, and a lovely heated pool. The gardens and pool were clean too. After reading some reviews, I expected less, but it was ideal. We didn’t come across any of the unpleasant things mentioned by others :)
