Aparthotel BCL Levante Club

The apartments were clean and fine for our weekend away for a 21st birthday, but the other guests made it a miserable stay. My family were in a nearby hotel. We barely slept: people were in the pool late at night, then groups came back around 4 am shouting and arguing by it. There was no hotel staff around to keep things under control, and the noise carried on until 6 am. There were discarded bottles from drinking and half-eaten kebabs in the lifts. I also came home with ringworm. Maybe we picked the wrong weekend, but I won't stay again.

I stayed in February and wouldn't come back. The apartment looked nice at first, but there were strange stains along the skirting boards and in the shower. The sliding doors wouldn't shut properly, one bedroom window didn't lock, and the safe was out of order. I only figured out the electric hob late in the holiday. There was a constant hum, which I think came from fans outside, plus construction noise from the neighboring site. Nobody had told me about the work, and it was especially disappointing by the pool, which was freezing all week. I tried the indoor pool near the end of the week, later in the evening, but after about 20 minutes someone said, “I think you should leave,” without explaining why. I was locked out of the tower and my room a few times early in the week. Apparently the card and phone can interfere, but I only learned that from reading reviews. The room looked good, though the tower itself looked horrible.

The soot left a mark on the whole stay. The hotel had no hot water and did repair work, after which soot spread over the floors and pool area. It damaged several brand-new clothes and swimsuits we had brought. We raised it with the general manager, but his response was disappointing. He blamed something outside the hotel despite the visible mess, and didn't take responsibility or offer to cover laundry or dry cleaning. We later found a self-service laundrette just around the corner, which made that response feel even more frustrating. The apartments were spacious, clean, and well maintained, and the staff apart from management were friendly and helpful. Still, the way this was handled was unacceptable and left us with a very negative impression.

We got into the apartment as soon as we arrived, three hours before check-in, since it was already ready. Check-in itself was quick and straightforward. The place was clean and had lots of towels and toiletries. It's in a great spot in the Rincon area, up a slight hill that isn't too steep. The pool and bar were great, the staff were friendly, and the entertainment team did a lovely job. I'd happily stay again. The value was exceptional.
