Hotel Camposol

The rooms could do with renovation, and there aren’t many amenities, though what’s there is satisfactory. The hotel is clean and well organized, with good staff and good, varied food. It’s nicely located, about 5-10 minutes from the city centre and beach.

The room was extremely basic, though the food was good. The location was okay.

It was very clean and really cheap, but the rooms felt like stepping back into the 1970s. I went with seven other British people, and all our balconies faced a brick wall, while the Spanish guests had views of the pool or street. The lobby makes you think you’re in a five-star hotel, then you get to the room. I won’t be going back.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the place was clean and tidy. The location was good, but the pool area was very small. I didn’t try the food. Noise was the main problem for me. Other guests would stand chatting loudly in the corridor outside my door, often starting around 6am. The walls were extremely thin. Every toilet flush sounded as if it were in my room, and the taps were noisy too, with a banging sound whenever anyone used them. I had a tiny balcony with room for one chair, looking straight into the neighbouring balcony. There was no privacy, so it felt pretty pointless.
