Los Alamos

There was a deep, low vibration through the building overnight. At 4am I gave up trying to sleep and went for a walk. A huge exhaust pipe comes out of the ground, and the diesel pool heaters had been running since about midnight. It was deafening down there. Unbelievable. There was no entertainment unless you're Spanish and over 70, and the food was so bad I wouldn't serve it to our dog. The sausages and bacon looked like the cheapest I've ever seen. The biggest mess was leaving for our airport coach. We were out early and waited up to an hour, but it never came. We went back inside and another receptionist told us the pickup time had changed, though nobody had thought to tell us. Was that on purpose? I made six calls to the manager that day and got more lies. She had no intention of speaking to us. The bank will sort this hotel out now. I'm now sitting awake all night because the careless cleaner never told anyone she'd ripped my CPAP machine's pipe while making the bed. The receptionist agreed to order a replacement pipe from a medical centre, which meant three more sleepless nights. He wouldn't replace the split mask, so the machine didn't work for the whole week we were there. I wonder where he got his medical degree. Another receptionist lied and said they'd ordered the mask, then later admitted they hadn't. A staff member also verbally abused me to my wife because I was shouting. I was, at their arrogance and incompetence. Really? They don't want you to sleep here.
