A good budget choice for a short break in Benidorm. Hotel Mareny is about a five-minute walk from both the beach and the old town. The rooms are basic but spotless, with free Aircon, and the shower had plenty of hot water and a good strong flow. There was lots of choice at breakfast, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

The dated decor could use an update, but the place is still bright, airy and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning in the rooms works well, and I found the staff efficient and keen to help. Reception were marvellous, and Gonzalez in the bar deserves a five-star review of his own. I honestly can’t find much else to fault, and I’d recommend the hotel without hesitation.

The location worked really well for us, with shops and other amenities nearby and the old town not far away. My partner and I had a very nice stay. The food was delicious, the staff were always helpful, and the air conditioning kept the room cool.

We all enjoyed the buffet, with different choices each time and food we looked forward to at every meal. Our family room was large enough for four and got cleaned daily. It’s a well-run hotel close to all the amenities, and we especially enjoyed the rooftop pool. The evening entertainment on our last night will stay in our memories. We’ll be back in Benidorm soon and hope to book this little gem again.

Everything about it was bad. Please don’t take a chance like I did or waste your money. This is my honest opinion, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to have such a bad experience when they should be enjoying their stay.
