Medplaya Hotel Rio Park

I went on my own for my 40th, but never felt lonely. There were daytime games that got everyone laughing and joining in, plus evening games and acts. The entertainment was great, and I've already booked to come back because I loved it so much. Thanks to everyone who made my holiday fantastic 😀 The hotel and room were very clean. Food was great with lots of choice, and there were microwaves if, like me, you want it piping hot. The staff were always ready to help: I asked reception for a kettle and it was brought to my room within a couple of hours. The location made it easy to walk to the beach, market and strip.

The restaurant had plenty of food with something for everyone, and the staff were always friendly and kept the hotel tidy. We were on the first floor and just used the stairs to get to reception and the restaurant because the lifts were hard to get, but it didn't bother us. The bedroom was clean, with a lovely firm mattress and plenty of room for clothes. There was a fridge and safe too. If I had to pick one little issue, the shower head kept falling off its holder and soaking the bathroom. The pool and outdoor area looked lovely, but the weather wasn't on our side. We came home after our second Benidorm trip, from 28 February to 7 March, and we'd picked a great hotel. If we come back to Benidorm, we'd definitely return to Hotel Rio Park.

We had a great stay at Rio Park from 20 to 27 January 2026, and were impressed with every part of it. The hotel was clean throughout and had lots of facilities. The staff worked hard and were friendly, and there was always a wide choice in the restaurant, so it was easy to find something we liked. It's easy to get to the bars and shows, and we took a short walk to Benidorm Intermodal train station for a trip to Alicante. A great-value hotel, thank you.

The food was probably the best I've had at a hotel in Spain. Breakfast had a huge choice, including cereals, yogurt and delicious pastries, plus good quality items for a traditional English breakfast. Tea, coffee, juice, bread and a toaster were there too. Lunch and dinner were also very good, with steak pie, chicken and beef curry, hamburgers and more. One night each week there's a gala dinner. Drinks aren't included with lunch or dinner. Our room was lovely and clean, with a walk-in shower that was a bonus for me as I'm disabled. It also had a kettle, fridge, Wi-Fi and free safe. Rooms are cleaned daily and the hotel was clean throughout. The lifts weren't great and got busy around mealtimes. A few changes to the room sockets and balcony rails could make the hotel close to perfect. We had lunch in the restaurant and a couple of drinks on the sunny pool terrace while waiting for our room, which wasn't ready until 4pm after an easy, quick check-in. The wait went quickly. The location is good, a short stroll from the promenade, with plenty of bars a few minutes from Medplaya Hotel Rio Park. Thank you for a lovely stay! X
