Sandos Monaco Hotel - Adults Only

We had a really chilled five-night holiday, and as a young couple who don't drink or party, none of the downsides were a dealbreaker. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere relaxed, and it wasn't too crowded. It's a great location, two minutes from the beach, and the gym is free. The deluxe room had two single beds instead of a double, and when we asked, they offered a mattress topper to put over them. There was no bath, the air conditioning was stuck on and made the room very cold, and the TV was tiny but worked fine. The outdoor pools aren't heated, and they're shaded for much of the day by the surrounding high-rises, so they're very cold. The spa is nice, but for sanitation no water is above 30c, so there's no real hot tub. The sauna and steam rooms were very nice, and we liked the cold pool. The buffet is quite Westernised and not very inspiring, though there's a decent range and always hot meat. The small gym has no AC, limited equipment, and a broken cycle machine. We were all-inclusive, but some drinks and options, like Lipton ice tea, weren't included. The lifts were veery slow, which meant waiting when you're on the 16th floor. I'd recommend Sandos Monaco if you're on a budget and want a reliable hotel.

The staff had a twin room ready just 15 minutes after we asked to switch from the double bed in our deluxe room. We'd booked a five-night stay at Sandos Monaco and really liked the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, there was plenty of good food to choose from, and the entertainment was good overall. We'd definitely return. Thanks to everyone at Sandos Monaco for making the stay such a good one!

The staff were lovely the whole time, and we couldn't fault the hotel. There's a great choice of food, spacious surroundings, a large swimming pool, and a small paddling pool. It's close to the beach and sits between the old and new towns, near the Benidorm coastline. We'd certainly visit again.

The entertainment team were wonderful, especially Judith and Oscar. They really made an effort to include people, keep them entertained, and make them feel loved. The bar staff were superb and very generous, and the waiting staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. The rooms could probably do with an upgrade soon, as they're a little dated, but they're very clean and functional, with nice touches like a fridge, coffee machine, and safe. They have good sea views. The hotel is right between the old town and the strip, about 10 minutes either way to reach the action, and there's plenty to keep you entertained all day. The buffet has themed nights during the week, including Asian and Mexican, and our favourite was Friday's Gala night, with prawns for days. I can't say enough about this hotel, it's amazing!
