Such a peaceful place, with lovely views and genuinely welcoming hosts. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful time unwinding here, one of the best places we’ve stayed.

Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade yogurt and jam, granola, and fresh fruit, all delicious. They were also so generous with us. When we arrived late, the owner wouldn’t take payment until the next day, and at checkout they let us stay until two without bringing up the time or payment. It really felt like family. We stayed in spacious room no. 1 at Izal Landetxea. Everything was incredibly clean and fresh, like sheets your mother has just washed. Even arriving in the dark, we could see how beautiful the villa was. It’s 40 minutes from San Sebastián. The owner greeted us with a smile at 4 am, showed us to the room, and gave us the breakfast selection list for the next morning. We’d been lost in San Sebastián trying to work out where to book, so I’m glad fate brought us here. Even the soap and shampoo seem sustainable, and are 97% natural.

The view was so calming, and the house design and outdoor space are beautiful. We had a great stay at Izal Landetxea. The owners were really kind and helpful :)

We spent four wonderful nights here. The owners were warm, attentive, and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. You can choose what to eat, where to have it, and when. The hotel is thoughtfully designed, well organized, and kept simple. It’s a peaceful, unique place surrounded by every shade of green, in a superb location, about a 35-40min drive to St Sebastian, Bilbao and El Rioja.
