A good-value, no-frills hotel in a handy spot near Atocha station. The room was small but clean, with comfortable bedding, large towels, blackout blinds, a rain-style shower with lots of hot water, and a hair dryer, which was a nice surprise. I wasn't keen on the pillows, though, and the walls are thin. Wi-Fi was fine in the room. The lobby is tiny, with space for only a few people to wait, and there are no USB outlets. They provide shower gel and liquid hand soap, plus a coffee and tea maker and a mini fridge. The front desk staff were all kind and helpful.

The room was clean and really comfortable, and the staff were attentive and ready to help. For a one-star hotel, I thought it deserved a higher rating. I had a very nice stay.

Some rooms and the terrace have great street views. The rooms themselves were very clean and roomy, and the staff were accommodating.

For a couple of nights in Madrid, this is a really decent choice, even though it isn't a luxury hotel. Don't let the one-star rating put you off: I found it better than plenty of three- or four-star places in Spain, and much better than the nearby Vincci Soho. Fantastic value for the price.

It was clean and did what I needed, and the service and location were excellent. It was still a little expensive for what's offered, though it was the most affordable hotel I could find.
