Hostal Principado

I found the staff no help at all. The room doors also didn't feel secure: twice I came back to find mine wide open after the cleaning service. The rooms and bathrooms were both cramped, and the bathroom was dirty. There was no air conditioning, and the rooms were uncomfortable. Very poor service.

Once inside, the hostel was much nicer than the approach suggested. The man and woman working there were really kind, and the staff were friendly and good. They gave me a double bed and a bunk bed for my two children, plus a toilet for me. There was a fan too, which mattered because it was unbelievably hot at night. Getting to the entrance is another story: the building feels like something from the TV series "Aquí no hay quien viva" (No One Lives Here). Don't even try the elevator, it just stops.

The reception was nice, but the service felt poor for a 2-star hotel, and the price was too high for what was offered. It was also very noisy. The rooms were mostly dark, so I kept needing to turn on the lights.

The location was the one thing I liked. At night it was very noisy, and the bathroom was tiny. The building itself is very old, poorly maintained, and a bit scary.
