Hotel Artetxe

It’s a night’s stay, and while the hotel isn’t near the city, you get a nice view over Bilbao from the hill. The place was quiet and peaceful. The reception team spoke English and were really nice. They seemed to care about what guests thought, and the stay was pleasant.

Breakfast was a nice spread of sandwiches and pastries, and we were glad we ate at the hotel. The staff were friendly throughout, so we’d happily return. The hotel has lovely views over Bilbao, peaceful grounds and comfortable rooms. Having convenient parking was a big help, since we didn’t have to hunt for a spot in town. It’s a bit of a walk down to the center, but still easier than driving around looking for parking. You can also drive to the funicular and park there.

The team at Artetxe were fantastic, from Xabi, who felt like an old friend and gave us tips for getting to Bilbao without the car and ideas for lunch and dinner, to the kind woman at morning reception, who was my husband's fellow countryman and had such a lovely smile. The woman running breakfast was also super friendly, attentive and kind. The whole team was top-notch, and we can’t wait to bring the rest of the family. 100000% recommended. Thank you for all the care and attention these past few days. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️ The location is spectacular and so peaceful, perfect for switching off. We felt right at home. Everything was spotless, the service was warm, and they paid attention to the details.

My hotel apartment was clean and well organized, with excellent bed and pillows. The reception staff were helpful and explained everything clearly. For a hotel, the breakfast was extensive and delicious. A good fit for anyone who likes an active holiday.
