I want to warn others because the positive reviews don't match what we found. The room was filthy, with a foul-smelling bed and a mattress covered in stains and mold. There was mold around the room, too, and the thin walls meant we could hear the hallway and neighboring rooms, making it impossible to sleep. The hotel is near the river and old town, but the walk there took us through San Francisco, which didn't feel safe at night. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

I was on the seventh floor and got a balcony, which was a lovely bonus in the morning and evening. The hotel is only three stars, but it was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful. It's in a great location.

For a two-star budget place, it was perfectly clean and close to the old city. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and the concierge staff were helpful. We paid 91€ here when larger chains in similar locations were 180€ or more. You can find cheaper rooms farther out, but then you'd need to take the tram in. If you're driving, book parking when you reserve the room. Booking sites may say parking is available, but without an advance booking you'll have to walk about 1 km to a decent car park.

Our room was dirty and had bed bugs. We each came away with 80 bites. The hotel promised several times to give us a full refund, but it never came. The neighborhood also felt quite sketchy. I'd spend a few euros more and stay elsewhere.

The room was simple, comfortable, and clean. Staff were friendly and gave us useful advice on getting around and finding places. It's near the old town, and we'll definitely return!
