Hibilbao Apartments

We could walk to all the major attractions, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. My wife, son and I stayed in apartment #4 for two nights, and it was quiet at night. We had everything we needed, and the luggage lockers in the lobby were really useful. There was no air conditioning, and once the sofabed was opened, there was hardly room to walk around it. We'd still recommend the place.

Apartment No. 3 was clean, well maintained, and had what we needed for a short stay. The location was really convenient. But the lack of ventilation made it very hard to get comfortable, and we'd give the experience 2/5. Adding ventilation would bring our score to 5/5. We booked through a booking site, which clearly said there was no air conditioning. Since we were there in September and daytime highs were around 28 degrees Celsius, we thought we'd manage without AC. We didn't expect there to be no ventilation at all, so with the windows shut, no fresh air could get in. It was hot indoors even when it was about 25 degrees Celsius outside. With both windows open and the fan on full, it was still around 30 degrees inside. So it came down to choosing between a quiet but hot night, or opening a window for air and putting up with lots of traffic noise and the garbage collector working at night. I wouldn't recommend staying here in summer, and would suggest booking in winter or cooler weather.

Our local host guided us perfectly and helped with everything we needed before, during, and after the stay. The rooms were clean, modern, and fully equipped, and all the Bilbao hot spots were within walking distance. Great location, highly recommended if you're planning a trip to Bilbao.

The host was helpful and friendly, and the apartment was very clean and well located. Still, it was small and quite damp, with no AC. The price didn't quite match the quality for me. There were also more instructions than I like on vacation, when I'd rather keep things to a minimum.
