It's good value, clean, fairly quiet, and in a great location. I spent four days there and never had to wait for any of the three bathrooms. WiFi was okay. The TVs are ancient, though I didn't use one. My room opened onto an air shaft, so no breeze came in and it stayed a bit stuffy well into the night. This was with daytime highs in the low 80s, so summer would likely be worse. I'd try to get one of the other rooms.

I'm giving it one star only because zero isn't an option. I wish this guesthouse would close. The place felt creepy, like something out of a horror movie, and the man working there, who I assume is the owner, was rude and ill-mannered and made inappropriate, sexist remarks. The room seemed untouched since the building went up in the 1800s. The floor was uneven, and the dirt was unbelievable. The shower smelled so bad it made my partner vomit, and it looked like it had never been cleaned. The price is low, but it isn't worth sleeping there or touching anything. A cheap place still shouldn't be in this condition. Please don't stay.

The area is good and the price reasonable, but it absolutely wasn't worth it, and I don't recommend staying here. In room 14 we got bed bug bites, and there were cockroaches in room 18 and the shared bathrooms. Cleanliness was nowhere to be found: the bedspreads, sheets, and blankets were old, dirty, and burnt. I saw staff put the bedspreads I'd left on the floor back on the floor for the next guest without cleaning them. Smoking is supposedly prohibited, yet used ashtrays sat on the bedside tables, the place smelled strongly of tobacco, and there was hardly any ventilation. The owner was very unpleasant and rude, and made completely inappropriate comments. One star because I can't give less. There are other guesthouses across the street and near the old town metro station, among other options.

The location is right in the center, among streets packed with bars, restaurants, and all sorts of shops. The guesthouse is on the second floor and has an elevator. Beds were comfortable, and our room was quiet and clean, with lots of closets and drawers. There are three roomy bathrooms, with no bad smells. The place itself is fine, but some guests leave the restrooms in a state, if you know what I mean. Apart from that and the tobacco smell in the hallways, which didn't reach our room, everything was fine.
