Our bikes could be stored indoors, which was handy. The kitchen was well equipped, and there’s a lovely roof terrace. The host was especially attentive, and our room was both beautiful and clean. A wonderful place to stay.

The room was roomy and the bed really comfortable, and the kitchen had plenty for cooking. Breakfast was nice, too. Karin and Sergio made us feel very welcome and know the area well. They’ve put a lot of thought into sharing useful information so guests can plan their visit. I’d recommend a guided hike with Sergio. He took care to tell us about the local wildlife, plants and area, and showed us some beautiful mountain views.

Buenavista is a charming town, away from the busy tourist spots but with local cafes and restaurants. From Tabaiba it was an easy walk to the supermarket and bus station, and down to the beach and coast. Karin answered all our questions, and Sergio took us on day hikes. They treated us like family, and the place was quiet, very clean and had everything we needed. We’d recommend staying here. Thank you!

The town is lovely, and several great hikes are easy to reach by public transport. The hostel is comfortable and conveniently placed, about five minutes from the bus station and under two minutes from the town center. The hosts were friendly, helpful and flexible about things like breakfast and taxis. Breakfast doesn’t offer much variety, but what there is is high quality. The only possible drawback is that the walls and doors are fairly thin, so you can hear other guests coming and going or spending time in shared areas. It wasn’t an issue during my stay, but could be more noticeable when the place is full.
