Hotel Boutique Rincón de Navarrete

After ten hours driving through France, this was exactly what I needed. The manor house is breathtaking, the welcome is warm, and the rooms make you feel like royalty. If you need everything spotless and free of cobwebs, you may be disappointed. It's reassuringly dusty, just what I'd expect from a historic manor decorated with taste. It feels like a rich uncle's country home. There's a peaceful, comforting energy here, and all the little finishing touches and warm lighting make you feel at home right away. The beds could be more luxurious, but the place is full of rustic charm and decadence. A stay to remember, and thank you for making me feel so welcome ❤️🙏🏼

The room was very basic, smelled of mothballs, and had poor lighting. The extra pillow was dirtier than a baby's bib. Outside, the seats were caked in grime, and luckily another traveler had a box of wipes. There was nowhere to eat and no kettle, and we were told anything we might need was in the next town. A few other guests were there, and many seemed to have come prepared with cool boxes of food. The old retainer checked us in and led us through a museum-like interior, which was certainly quirky. It was an experience, but we'd paid less the day before for a three-star hotel with full facilities, so we won't be coming back.

The village is worth a wander, and I'd happily stay here again if I get the chance. My room was clean and the shower was excellent, the staff were lovely, and the price was very reasonable. It was late in the season, so the place was nearly empty, with just a couple of other guests. What a glorious, interesting place.

We stopped here on the way from Santander to Calpe. It was a very good hotel, a bit like an old parador. The room was excellent and clean, with good quality towels, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was ham, cheese, toast with jam, coffee, and orange juice, all for 6.5 euros.
