The garden is beautiful, but that’s about the only good thing I can say. Our shared bathroom had no toilet paper, and both the toilet and shower were already dirty before anyone had used the shower. Room 102 had mold on the walls, and we could smell it as soon as we checked in. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed, first refusing to help, then calling her boss after we argued. She offered another room, but it clearly wasn’t regularly used for guests: it was dusty, full of someone’s personal things, and there was nowhere to put our belongings. The dresser drawers were all full, the cabinet was shut, and worn personal slippers sat on top. The mattress was dirty too. That room was unacceptable for us, and neither room was somewhere we were willing to sleep. When the boss arrived that evening, he offered a 40% refund, which we rejected. We eventually settled on 50%, which still felt ridiculous. He didn’t seem to care, as he knows Camino bookings will keep coming. He claimed the mold had appeared the previous night and blamed poor cleaning, which was obviously untrue. He then canceled the booking on booking.com and refunded our Visa card, but made us pay him half the amount in cash. It seemed to me like a way to avoid bad reviews on booking and perhaps taxes too. The service was beneath contempt.

The rooms are nicely furnished, though quite small, which is why I gave it a 4. Otherwise, the accommodation was very pleasant and tastefully decorated. The yard, pool, and other facilities deserve a full five. I’d recommend staying here.

We felt like a burden, and the service staff didn’t seem to know any English. They wouldn’t let us in early. Breakfast was poor, and the room was missing basic things: no shampoo, an empty soap bottle, and no hair dryer.

Really nice place, with a lovely garden and pool, plus shared facilities and a kitchenette. The room was a little small, and the bathroom is shared between two rooms, but everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
