We loved the quiet and the stunning setting, and the staff were warm, helpful and friendly. The rooms are lovely too. You do need a car, and with the sea so far away, I think this hotel is best for a short stay of a few days. We spent a couple of days there and would definitely recommend it.

The place has a lovely vibe, and Ana was really kind and helpful. The staff treated our group very well, and the food was fantastic, especially the tasting menu. The local bread was delicious too, though the orange juice was so sour that none of us drank it. Their products are AMAZING, but remember reception opens at 9:00 am if you want to buy something. I was disappointed by how much the extras cost, especially at €265 a night. The sauna is €20 per person for 50 minutes and the hot tub is €50 per person for two hours. I know places set their own prices, but I couldn't find any prices on the website before booking, and for five people those costs didn't feel okay to me. Breakfast starts after 9:00, which was confusing and late for us. The staff kindly brought it the night before when we asked for an early breakfast, but scrambled eggs made the previous day aren't very good. If you're bringing a group and someone will use the sofa bed, bring a mattress if you can. Ours was terrible. They also charge €12 to clean the accommodation, so keep that in mind if you're staying for lots of days. I hate complaining, and I don't want to be mean because I did love the atmosphere. It must be incredible in summer, but my own stay left me really disappointed, and I ended up raising a lot of issues.

The food was excellent at breakfast, the restaurant and the bar, and the setting is lovely for hikes in the hills or along the river. For rural tourism, the place may be enough if you're mainly there to walk and eat, but the comfort is basic. Our double bed was two mattresses on a wooden base, and the sofa bed was hard and made metallic creaks with the slightest movement. The pool was just a concrete basin. There wasn't really a jacuzzi either, just an old pot that looked out of service. The sauna costs €20 per person for private use and has nice views, though the ice machine is so loud that it spoils any chance of a calm spa feel. Service could use some work. The receptionist struggled to communicate in English, and on our second night the male server seemed offended when we skipped the expensive restaurant and chose a cheaper snack at the bar instead. If you want more comfort, I'd look elsewhere.

The hotel sits right at the start of the hills, and you can head out for walks from there. Breakfast was really good, and both the bar and restaurant get plenty of local customers. It's the last house by the hills, in a great spot. One thing to know: the roads are too narrow for a car bigger than a VW Bulli, so you'll have to walk the rest of the way.
