The location is handy and the staff were polite, but the hotel feels dated. The rooms are cramped, poorly equipped, and almost claustrophobic. It’ll do as a base, but it falls well short of what discerning travelers might expect.

There was a railway line right outside, so we heard some trains, though it wasn’t bad and didn’t keep us awake. The location is very convenient, about a two-minute walk to the beach and playground, and a short stroll from the station, bars, restaurants, and shops. We were there out of season, so lunch and dinner weren’t available, and neither was the pool. The rooms had no tea or coffee facilities. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent: clean and comfortable, with lovely decor and atmosphere, helpful friendly staff, and a very nice breakfast. I’d definitely stay again.

The staff were always friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a few handy touches. You can leave your luggage and shower in the basement if you arrive before check-in or depart after checkout. There’s also a water-saving towel scheme: reuse towels to earn waterpoints, which you can trade for a free cocktail or gift. The rooms are a bit dated, but the beds are great and comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was nice though not very diverse, and I’d like more fresh cut fruit. Dinner was okay, sometimes a little bland. The pool is small but fine for cooling off, especially with the beach right across the street. Saturday guitar performances by a singer at the bar were a lot of fun. A pretty good hotel overall.

We were fussy eaters, but every night we found something we liked, so don’t worry too much about the food. We spent most evenings at the hotel because the drinks were so reasonably priced. A bottle of wine for €6-7 was amazing! We stayed in mid-August and had a great time. For a three-star place at the price we paid, it was great, and despite the comments we’d read beforehand, I’d recommend it. The staff made us feel welcome, especially Anna and Mohammed, who were at the bar most nights. We’ll definitely return.
