Las Vegas Hotel

There was hair everywhere, and the cleaning service was awful. No towels were allowed, and the receptionist was rude, a truly miserable woman. The food was okay. This is the worst hotel I've ever seen. I'd give it minus 100 stars if I could, and I'd rather die than visit again.

We had a great holiday and felt we got a lot for the price. It's not the best hotel ever, but nowhere near the worst. Our room was clean, with a sea-view balcony, and the sheets were changed every day, more often than I change them at home. The pool isn't huge, but in September we often had it to ourselves. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the bus stop and fairly close to the station. If your flight gets in at the right time, you can take one bus instead of changing in Barcelona. Changing isn't much hassle, though, and costs about €10. The food was pretty decent, and my vegetarian boyfriend found loads to eat. It seemed more German than English or Spanish, perhaps because there were lots of German 18-30-style holiday groups staying there. The cakes were especially good. As usual with all-inclusive, only local spirits were included; imported ones cost extra. The gin I had was watered down, while the vodka was fine. There was wine and beer too, so most people should find something. Staff seemed pleasant, and a “pour favor” and “graçias” go a long way. The bar closes at 11pm, so if you want to keep partying, stock up at a supermarket or go out. There are loads of places in calella. We were fine most nights since we'd been drinking during the day. We'd come back.

The staff were rude, and there was dust everywhere. The towels described as new and clean were actually dirty and smelled bad. Our room was small and filthy, close to horrible. Taking a shower sent water all over the room. The food wasn't very good, and sometimes it was cold instead of tasty. Don't book here. You'll regret it and, for sure, get sick afterwards.

The food was excellent, and the hotel bar makes the best cocktails in Calella. The pool was a good size, and the sea was very close. The train station was a reasonable distance away. Our room was spacious, lovely and clean, and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely visit again.
