Hotel Bendinat

We’ve been coming to Hotel Bendinat Restaurant as a family for over 20 years, and the beautiful setting still holds many special memories for us. That made tonight’s disappointing visit especially hard. We hope this was only a temporary setback and that the restaurant returns to the food and service it’s always been known for. Service was extremely slow throughout the evening, and the food arrived cold. We sent dishes back, but they came back still not properly heated, which really affected the experience. The staff were very friendly and clearly doing their best, but seemed frustrated that they couldn’t provide the service and food quality regulars expect. It suggests there may be wider operational issues behind the scenes. This has always been a fantastic restaurant, so the evening was a real surprise.

The views are breathtaking and the food decent, but every year the service has let us down. Staff are routinely rude and inattentive, making you feel invisible. When they do speak to you, it’s rushed and impersonal. We’ve kept hoping things would improve, but last night convinced us it’s time to move on. Such a beautiful setting deserves better hospitality.

The beach right below is peaceful and calm, and a great place for a swim. I stayed here a while back and loved the cute, cosy, quiet cottages.

The view at Bendinat is idyllic, and the setting feels perfect for a couple. We’ve been visiting for years, but never again. The food is good, not great, and very overpriced. We know you’re paying for the location, but you’re certainly not paying for the service. Our first visit, six or seven years ago, was lovely: great food, great service, perfect location. We couldn’t wait to return, and after that we came once or twice a year whenever we were in Palma. Each time, the service declined. Staff became indifferent and uncaring, but we gave it one last chance, hoping things had changed. What a disappointment. The senior male staff made us feel invisible and like an inconvenience. Service was rushed, and their manner abrupt, uninterested, and unhelpful. Unless you want to feel unwelcome and unvalued, I’d avoid it. Bendinat should be ashamed of how disrespectful and disappointing its restaurant has become. Such a shame.
