Martinez Apartments

Martinez Apartments left us very satisfied. It was an excellent spot, an easy walk to the beach, shops and Palma Nova centre. The apartments were spacious and very clean.

I booked Martínez Apartments, the more expensive option, almost nine months ahead. The booking was confirmed, and I chose it because it suited my family. But at check-in, I was told our booking was “no longer available” and that we’d be moved to Naika Studios, a much cheaper and inferior property. It was presented as a done deal. When I objected, the staff member said I could “go find another hotel” if I didn’t like it. This was peak season, my children were beside me after a long trip, and we felt trapped and badly treated. These apartments are operated by Hotel Gabarda. In my experience, they can’t be trusted. This was not a simple mistake, but a deliberate and unacceptable bait-and-switch. Looking at reviews for Hotel Gabarda, Naika Studios and Apartaments Martínez, I see a clear pattern of similar reports: guests downgraded without notice, shifted between properties, and told at check-in that their booked accommodation is unavailable. In practice, I believe the more desirable, higher-priced rooms are oversold and guests pushed into cheaper accommodation while the higher rate is kept. When I pushed the issue, the staff member became even more dismissive. They offered no apology or solution and told me to “sush.” That was insulting and showed a complete lack of professionalism or hospitality. I’ve filed a formal complaint with Booking.com and strongly urge other travellers who’ve had similar treatment to do the same. In my view, this is dishonest and predatory conduct that shouldn’t be tolerated in hospitality. For the sake of your holiday, peace of mind and wallet, don’t book here.

Modern, clean and beautiful throughout, with well-equipped apartments and pools that were well looked after and checked every day. The staff were AMAZING, so friendly, quick and pleasant, with top-notch service. I really recommend this place. It came close to a 5-star experience.

The location worked really well for getting around. The bus stop was a minute away, with several buses to Palma and beyond. Lidl and Mercadona were a five-minute walk, and a small beach was two or three minutes away. It’s not Mallorca’s prettiest beach, but still nice enough to visit. When I stayed in May, it was very quiet. I didn’t notice any clubs nearby, so I assume it’s quiet most of the time. I had a one-bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, with two balconies. It had recently been refurbished, was immaculately clean and had everything for a short stay, including a toaster and kettle. The bed was super comfy, which isn’t usual at this price.
