Hotel Cosgaya

We spent 10 nights here while visiting Pico's Mountains and couldn't find a fault. It's a beautiful, spotless hotel in a great spot, with breathtaking scenery and amazing motorcycling roads to explore. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the owners and team took such good care of us. It's a true gem, and we'll absolutely return to keep exploring the Pico's.

The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout, and our spacious queen room had a warm feather duvet and a relaxing water jet bathtub. It was August, so we didn't need the duvet, and tall guests should watch out for the sloping ceiling in a few spots on the third floor, though there was plenty of headroom elsewhere. The family run hotel gave us a very warm welcome and worked hard to keep everything clean, with excellent service. Breakfast was nice and good value, as were the home cooked dinners made with local ingredients. It's well placed for visiting Picos National Park, and has free public parking across the street. The coffee was freshly made and excellent too. Thanks to the family and team for a lovely holiday. Highly recommend staying here.

From our front room, we could watch my motorbike across the road while listening to the river babble and birds singing. What a lovely hotel, with friendly, helpful staff and great food in the restaurant. Highly recommend it, but be sure to book dinner early.

For the price, this is a good hotel: clean, well appointed, and with a good breakfast. I liked it more than staying down in Potes.
