We spent several hours in a beautiful old courtyard, soaking up the sun beside 15th century vineyards, with wine and tapas as we chatted. We had been looking for a wine tasting after striking out at another vineyard because they were redecorating, and came across A Capitan. They welcomed us, gave us a brief tour, then seated us. I was surprised by how affordable it was.

Marta was really friendly, speaks good English, and gives an excellent wine tour. Breakfast was good too, and the town center is an easy walk away. The restored historic Manor House has loads of history, character, and architectural details, with landscaped grounds, its own vines, and a winery. A good choice for a stay in Cambados.

A lovely bodega in a good location, with large rooms, a fab breakfast, and lovely staff. Recommended.

We'd love to return to this lovely centuries-old home and working vineyard and winery, to relax, read, and drink the estate Albariño again.
