We spent four days doing exactly what we needed: reading, swimming and taking it easy. The pool was a lovely way to cool down in the heat, and the hosts had great choices for meals and drinks. The Saturday barbecue and other food in the photos came with local wine from less than 6 km away. It was nice to support nearby businesses.

The hosts are what make Grapevine Manor special. Damon and James put so much into making a stay memorable, and you can see why people would want to return. I celebrated my 60th there with friends and family over five days, and it was a brilliant venue for it. There are nine bedrooms, a roomy kitchen, dining room and bar, plus a pool and hot tub. In April, the hot tub felt especially good after a few chilly laps. The bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and have really comfortable beds. It’s out of the way, so you’ll need a car. Cyclists can ask Damon about the trails nearby, and hikers may enjoy the surrounding mountains in the cooler months. I’d recommend it if you want to stay away from the usual tourist spots. Thanks, James and Damon, for making my birthday celebrations unforgettable.

Breakfast was a highlight, with fruit, yogurt, granola, bread, eggs and great coffee. We could eat outside and take in the views. The whole place was quiet, set in a beautiful area with amazing scenery. Our room and the shared spaces were clean and cool, and James and Damon were wonderful hosts. We loved staying at Grapevine Manor and would definitely recommend it.

The hotel’s peaceful setting works well for a quiet break or as a base for getting out and about. My sister and I had a wonderful week in the Gold Room, which was absolutely beautiful. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard, and every morning we sat on our balcony looking out over the panoramic views. Breakfast had something for everyone, including delicious fresh eggs from Damon’s hens. The pool was wonderful, too. Damon and James were perfect hosts, and I’d give them 10 out of 10 for cleanliness, food and friendliness. I couldn’t leave a review on booking.com because I hadn’t booked through them. Can’t wait to go back 🥰

We rented the ebikes and really enjoyed exploring the area between Grapevine Manor and Salinas. The countryside is lovely, with surrounding vineyards and beautiful fields, and Alicante is about an hour away by car. The villa’s rooms were clean and comfortable, and James and Damon were such friendly hosts that we felt at home straight away. We had a great breakfast outside and a fantastic homecooked dinner, too. A perfect place to unwind by the pool and explore.
