The friendly service and convenient location make this a good base for a one or two-day stop to visit the mountains and nearby town. We were less impressed by the rooms, which were clean but small and simple, and especially by breakfast. It was mostly convenience food, with no tea or fresh fruit. We visited during the busy August high season, so demand may have pushed the price up a lot. Perhaps at other times the cost fits what you get better.

After a long visit to “Lagos de Covadonga” in August 2020, we ate at “El Bricial” to get our energy back after all that exercise. We ordered Cabritu (lamb stew), “Chorizos a la sidra” (cider sausages), and cheesecake. The food was good overall. The Chorizos sauce was too salty and strong for me, so I would have made it a little lighter.

Rooms are great, breakfast is good and inexpensive, and parking is free. The location is great too, and the hotel isn't expensive. There are several hotels in the nearby area that belong to the same network, so there's some chance you'll be transferred to another one about 3 km away for the same price. That wasn't a big problem since all the hotels in the network are good and at the same level, but it did surprise us.

The room was hot and cramped, and the front desk service came across as a bit rude.
