Casa Ortiz

The breakfast was pretty basic, and getting any sleep was a struggle. We could hear traffic right outside the window, people talking in the breakfast area, and every sound from the room above because there was no sound insulation. Our room was dark and damp, and the bathroom smelled from poor ventilation. I had a hard time understanding the high scores on Google and Booking.com.

Petra, the lovely cat, made our stay even sweeter with her meows and purrs. Marioli looked after us so well, especially at breakfast, which was a really nice surprise, and made us feel at home. The house is beautiful and peaceful, close to Cangas de Onís and other places to visit. Our cozy room had everything we needed for a few days. We had a great weekend at Casa Ortiz and will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

What made Casa Ortiz especially good for us was Marioly. She was always available if we needed anything, shared all the information we needed, and stayed in touch by phone and WhatsApp, so check-in was easy. Breakfast is included, with a good variety and excellent quality, and there’s parking less than 50 meters away. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with heating and reliable hot water. The bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed. There are also shared areas with a fridge and microwave, plus lovely gardens. The location works well for trips to Covadonga, Llanes, Bulnes, Ribadesella, and Cuevas del Agua. For the price, it’s hard to beat. A perfect 10, and a great base for visiting Asturias.

The breakfasts were so good, and Marioli treated us wonderfully. We came for a few days in paradise and had a lovely time. The little house is beautiful, and our warm room had gorgeous views. It’s also in a really peaceful spot, close to lots of places to visit. We’ll definitely come back!
