Hospedaje Torreón

Viti, who works there, was really friendly and kept an eye out for anything we needed. The place was very clean and right in the center of Cangas, with the bridge in view as soon as you step outside. A great choice.

What stood out most was the central location. The room and bathroom were clean and perfectly adequate, and the bed and pillow were good too. There’s a microwave and a mini-fridge, though the fridge makes a bit of noise. The staff were friendly, attentive, and suggested restaurants. There’s no air conditioning, and on a very hot day in August the humidity made the heat feel worse.

Despite being right in the city center, it was remarkably quiet, and we slept really well in the cozy rooms with comfortable beds. Each room has a wardrobe, mini-fridge, microwave, TV, and bathroom. There’s no parking at the property, but there’s a free lot nearby with plenty of spaces. The owner was welcoming in person and over WhatsApp. When we wanted to stay one more night, she kept us informed about rooms becoming available and even moved our belongings herself. We loved the place and will keep it in mind for future visits.

Right in the heart of Cangas, the Torreón is a good place to stay if all you need is somewhere to sleep and rest rather than luxury. Our room was very clean, with a private bathroom, small fridge, and a fairly large closet. The service was excellent and the atmosphere friendly. The street is pedestrian-only, but in mid-August we found parking fairly close after driving around a couple of times. There’s also the bus station car park as a fallback, then it’s an easy 8-10 minute walk.
