I thought the service was very good and the staff were polite, but the food was mediocre. The rice with meat was just about edible, and the precooked lamb arrived sizzling in oil in a clay dish, yet was dry as hell. It felt like they were chasing volume at the expense of quality, serving food that goes from freezer to oven to table with chips on the side. The thing that finally made me write this was being charged an extra 1.10€ for each coffee after we ordered coffee instead of dessert. No way this place deserves a 4.6, I’d put it around 3.8 or 3.9, like the other tourist traps along this road.

The staff were friendly, though they seemed to think this was still a hot spot for eating. It isn’t anymore, unfortunately. The prices have gone up, but that isn’t why I rated it badly. The menu is mediocre compared with what you can find elsewhere. The fabada is okay, nothing special, and the other dishes now come with very badly made French fries. They used to serve cooked potatoes, but I don’t think that’s what they do anymore.

We all enjoyed the meal, including the children. Our favorite was the lamb with fried potatoes, which is in lots of the pictures, and the kids gobbled up the albondigas too. The fabada was solidly good. We were a group of 11, with many children, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. The usual meal is a menu of the day with a first plate, second plate, drink, and dessert. Children can instead choose just one plate, plus a drink and dessert, for a lower price.

The tortilla de patata was delicious, and the waitress was really friendly. We came across the place by chance and stopped for breakfast. It’s kid-friendly too, with a little playground near the parking and a terraza where parents can have coffee while watching the kids play. Nos ha gustado mucho.

We had lunch there and got a generous amount of excellent food for 15€ per person. The daily menu had a great variety of traditional dishes, and the service was flawless. I’d recommend it without hesitation!
