We were very comfortable here as a family, and the owners were attentive and easy to reach throughout our stay. They met us at the agreed time, showed us around, explained how things worked, and suggested routes and places to visit. The house sits among pastures in a peaceful setting, yet the village center is only a five-minute walk away. Our living room, bedrooms, kitchen, and outdoor terrace were spacious. The kitchen appliances, including the washing machine, oven, stovetop, microwave, fridge, and freezer, all worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable, and the furnishings, decor, and bathroom were well maintained. It’s a chalet divided into five separate apartments, with a large garden and shared barbecue. Highly recommended, and thanks to the owners for all their help.

The noise from the bachelor party in the apartments below went on until 5 a.m., and we had no heating or hot water because the boiler wasn’t working. We couldn’t shower before checkout, which the owners insisted we meet. When we told them there was no hot water, they didn’t acknowledge what a nuisance that was. They said they would have called a technician if we’d called them, but the technician turned out to be the owner himself. They couldn’t see why calling someone at 4 a.m. because we were freezing and the heating had failed would bother us. We were three couples and had booked over the phone, but the owners communicated terribly both before and during our weekend stay. They never clearly explained what we were booking or the conditions. What the website said didn’t match what they told us on the phone, and some details weren’t listed at all. We arrived to find we’d paid 40 euros per person for an apartment where two people had to sleep on an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed. They hadn’t told us about it beforehand. The price is far too high for such poor service. I don’t recommend it.

The boiler wasn’t working, and the owners blamed us for not telling them sooner. We were also very unhappy with the service. We booked as a group of six, and the website said we’d reserved two townhouses. That turned out to be wrong, and the landlady knew the listing was inaccurate but didn’t warn us. We feel misled about what we had booked.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The phone conversation with Arancha was all nice words, but after we arrived, we got warnings, suspicion, and control. Elías, her husband, greeted us and immediately gave us several cautions. He said not to remove the mattress protectors and warned that the deposit wouldn’t be returned if anything wasn’t working when we handed back the key. A fault isn’t the same as damage caused by misuse. The latest checkout was noon, but they kept asking when we’d leave. We’d only just arrived the first time they asked, and the next day we said between 10 and 11 and that we’d let them know half an hour beforehand. They still insisted I give a more specific time because they had to collect the key and return the €150 deposit “if everything was in order.” On the second day, Arancha came by to ask if everything was okay. I mentioned the bedside lamp needed a bulb and asked for toilet paper, since there were four adults and only two small rolls. She said regulations allowed only that amount and she couldn’t make an exception in case someone saw her. After an awkward few minutes, I asked her to bring the bulb and said we’d sort out the toilet paper. That evening Elías brought a bulb, but it didn’t work, so he promptly gave us another. He also brought two “extra” toilet rolls. We used the shared barbecue at midday, then left the apartment around 8 p.m. The coals were still hot, so we couldn’t clear them. That afternoon Arantza sent me a WhatsApp reminder that the barbecue was shared and had to be cleaned after each use, and that there was a shovel and a bag for it. I explained why we hadn’t cleaned it and that there was no bag under the barbecue. The kitchen utensils are very limited, and there’s NO DISHWASHER. Before returning the deposit, Arantxa went into the apartment to inspect it and even turned on the TV. We’d tried it too, but the remote didn’t work, and we said nothing because we weren’t going to use it anyway. It would be helpful if the website had a link to the rules Arancha referred to so often.
