Hotel Azabache Susierra

The best thing here is the location: it's a quiet spot, a 5-minute drive from Cangas de Onís and also very close to Covadonga. The receptionists were helpful, though the other guests weren't as friendly. Parking is limited. Cleanliness was okay, but if you're on the ground floor, be aware that there's no air conditioning, so you need to open the window and bugs like mosquitoes and spiders can get in. I don't know whether they ever open the minibar, but it stayed closed throughout our four-day stay. The price seemed a little high for the facilities, though I imagine the season and location explain it.

The receptionists treated us wonderfully, and the location is very good. The room could have been cleaner. Even though it's out in nature, there were quite a few little spiders, and the mattresses need replacing. Still, for the price we paid, it was pretty decent for one night.

The walls are so thin you can hear your neighbor breathing, so it was quite noisy. The mattress was really hard and the pillow practically nonexistent. My neck is wrecked. We'd come back in the off-season, though. The location is great, in a quiet area surrounded by nature, and the staff were friendly. Our room was a good size for the price and the hotel's star rating, and it was fairly clean. The bathroom was clean but old, and some towels had stains. Breakfast was €5, with packaged items and homemade cake. The coffee was very good, and it was adequate for the price.

A pleasant terrace and café made it easy to relax or have a drink, and the hotel is close to town and all the typical activities. The service was attentive and, for the price, excellent. The rooms are modest, but clean and comfortable, and they meet your needs perfectly. I'd definitely stay again.
