Clean and really pleasant.

For what we paid, I wouldn’t stay here again. Five nights cost 550 euros, and the room didn’t match the photos or what I’d expect at that price. It was small and in poor shape. We asked the manager to move us because of the lack of space and condition, but there wasn’t another room. She did offer our money back, which we appreciated, though finding somewhere else on our budget in August wasn’t realistic. The room was so cramped that getting between the bed and the wardrobe or bathroom was awkward. There wasn’t a proper wardrobe, just a wall recess about 50 cm wide with a rail, shelf, and five hooks. Our suitcases fit underneath, but the clutter made moving around harder. There were signs of damp and rot in parts of the floor, doors, and frames, with the wood left unrepaired. The bathroom was tiny and narrow, and it was hard to squeeze between the sink and wall. The shower seal was worn, the door didn’t close fully, and water leaked out, so getting out meant letting at least a third of the water spill. The faucet was stiff, and the plumbing gave off a horrible smell. The bed was uncomfortable, with springs digging in, and the pillow was too soft. The bedding was in bad condition too: the bedspread had bleach marks, there was a dead bug stuck inside it, and the sheets were stained. The towels looked very worn and thin, and barely dried us.

We had a lovely stay and were treated very well. The place is right in the center, between the Roman bridge and the church in Cangas de Onís.

The accommodation was lovely and great value, but what stood out most was the incredible service from Ana, the owner. I haven’t had hospitality this good in ages. Thanks, Ana, for making us feel so welcome.
